The present volunteers & committee will be stepping down and the September Market will be the last before Rotary/Lions take over in October 2016. Most of the present group have been with the Market from either inception or close to and will enjoy a well earned rest. We, the committee know we are leaving the Market in very good and capable hands. So on behalf of my committee and volunteers I would like to take this opportunity the thank the stall holders (many of whom have been with us from the start) and you the Benalla Community for your support over our journey with the Market. We wish the new management the best and trust they will get the same satisfaction that we have had with the Market. We will be popping in from time to time but only as customers or a catch up with friends. M-L DAVIS OAM, Outgoing President of the Benalla Market
Spring is upon us, although we could easily be confused by all the water around.
So come on down and be entertained, find a bargain, have some delicious food or just a coffee. See you there BLC&FM
Site fees for the 2017 Market remain the same as 2016. A gentle reminder to visitors and stall holders – please be familiar with our market policies and remember all staff are volunteers. Courtesy and respect achieve so much more.
The Benalla market is back in full swing for the 2016 year. Next Market (April) we will be being entertained by the great big band – Jazarratta. Come on down and be entertained. See you at the market. BLC&FM

Standard 4 metre site – $20
Site and a half 6 metre -$30
Double site (max) 8 metre – $40
If you do not have insurance an additional $10 fee will be added to operate off the Market insurance. e.g a standard site without your own insurance is $30
If you have your own insurance you MUST bring a current copy to the Market and produce on demand to the Committee otherwise you will be charged the $10 fee.
What a magnificent market we had. Perfect weather and fabulous entertainment from Billy Arnold. Billy will return later in the year – stay tuned.
Many stallholders and patrons ask us to ban dogs at the market. We regret that this is not possible as the location of the market is a Public Place pursuant to the Summary Offences Act 5045 and the usual Council rules and regulations relating to animals apply. Having said that pursuant to the Market Policies we do not encourage animals at the market and accept no responsibility from incidents involving peoples’ animals occurring at the market.
Welcome to the October Market. A beautiful sunny day is the forecast, so come on down and enjoy the bargains, good friends and enjoy the music of the terrific Billy.
Again – a reminder that those working at the market are VOLUNTEERS who give up their time to ensure stall holders and patrons have a great day- courtesy and respect go a long way with them and violent/ aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated in any circumstances.
A beautiful spring day – what a day for a market. Huge crowd, great entertainment by the Rose City Band and the Benalla Pipers.
A reminder for stall holders and persons visiting the market, that poor behaviour which includes threatening or aggressive behaviour towards any of the volunteers in particular women, other stall holders or persons visiting market – Will not be tolerated in any circumstances! Sadly in the 21 years of the Market we have had to issue our first banning notice for this behaviour – hopefully it is our last.
The Benalla Market supports the Government initiatives to treat women with RESPECT – violent and aggressive behaviour towards any woman at our Market is totally unacceptable.
After a long, cold and wet winter – Spring is here!. So come on down, have a coffee, find a bargain, catch up with friends and be entertained by the great Rose City Band. regards BLC&FM
